Visiting Artist Collection

Over the years, visiting artists conducting workshops have left some of their demonstration pieces with the studio. We have fired them (for preservation), and they’re now displayed on the high shelf over the far side of the studio. They retain all the features and markings done by the original artist to the raw clay; none were glazed.

When completed, this page will identify each artist in the collection, and give a brief description of the ware represented. Hopefully, the text will be sufficient to help you understand the collection, learn from it, and lead to further study of these contemporary American potters. You’re welcome to inspect the ware more closely (carefully, of course, using the rolling ladder), and discover more about the work of these nationally recognized clay artists.
